I don't understand your confusion. In the top comment you literally say "do not apply to non-replaced inline elements". CSS Sizing is just saying the same. > this aspect is not explicitly covered in the referenced module as written. I'm not even sure what you expect it to say, since you quote the automatic size and then talk about the size properties. It doesn't make sense for CSS Inline to define an automatic size because the size properties don't apply.
