@facelessuser FWIW I did create a Scale LH variation that does better with preserving lightness by doing a second pass with *only* setting L, but it did worse in terms of overall ΔΕ2000. If we don't think ΔΕ2000 is a good measure we can pick a different one, but I think it will be hard to develop a good algorithm without consensus on what overall scoring to use.
