> For ScrollTimeline/ViewTimeline the range is not part of the Timeline; It very much is, it's just that it's set automatically from min/max scroll (etc) for those. The animation attachment range is not the same thing as the timeline range itself. Notice how [animation-range-start/end:normal](https://drafts.csswg.org/scroll-animations-1/#animation-range-start) refers to the start/end _of the timeline_. Without `container-timeline-range`, we'd need another way of understanding the start/end. -- GitHub Notification of comment by andruud Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/6245#issuecomment-1708864691 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
