> A F2F meeting in 2019 concluded the resolution was to put something in `<meta viewport>`. Many members of the CSSWG were opposed, IIRC. @fantasai was one. The idea to incubate `<meta viewport>` was a consolation, but shortly after starting to incubate that idea, it was abandoned because we could ship a better interface in mobile Safari with the site-specific font size control.
