SebastianZ has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [css-content-3] Display alternative text of `content` property == The spec. currently only requires the alternative text of the `content` property to be exposed as speech output. Though that text is very similar to the `alt` attribute on `<img>` elements, which is also displayed. So maybe there should be a note that UAs might or even should _show_ the alternative text when the image ca't be loaded in addition to exposing it to the accessibility tree.
