HI @svgeesus And to add: I covered the Peli/Hwang modweber in thread 695 back in 2019. It is based on the essential idea behind WCAG 2 contrast math, but makes the "flare" component asymmetrical. My iteration goes with the asymmetry, but changes amplitude and also incorporates additional scalings. But as I indicated, a dead alley—linear scalings or offsets don't accurately model supra-threshold perception. Stevens and others pointed out the inaccurate nature of the 180-ish year old Weber, and Stevens indicated the different perception curve shapes varied based on spatial frequency related issues. Michelson is sensitive to spatial frequency, but is not uniform in terms of position relative to adaptation. -- GitHub Notification of comment by Myndex Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7357#issuecomment-1160635943 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
