The screenshot was just joke. I agree it's pretty bad. Many people requested grids in yoga but it has never been priority and I understand why. Flex layout is very fast and almost feature complete apart from defining the wrap behavior. I believe as yoga based layout is taking over the internet this is the best platform to propose changes to spec.
