@emilio : Sure, there is a tradeoff between choosing one or the other. My intention was to present a use case where `both` is valuable and the author should have the option to use it. For example, in this SO question about [How to prevent scrollbar from repositioning web page?](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1417934/how-to-prevent-scrollbar-from-repositioning-web-page) several of the answers suggest workarounds that would have a similar outcome to `both` ([here](https://stackoverflow.com/a/30293718), [also here](https://stackoverflow.com/a/39289453) and others). -- GitHub Notification of comment by felipeerias Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/4674#issuecomment-826466813 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
