In terms of the efficacy of font fingerprinting / entropy it exposes, [this paper](https://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~maffeis/331/EffectivenessOfFingerprinting.pdf) from INRIA is fairly interesting/helpful. They conducted a real world study of fingerprinting, including Javascript based font probing, and found that fonts were one of the top contributors to fingerprint-ability.
