@fantasai But then the inlinification of a `block ruby` is not consistent with the inlinification of `block flow`. And people will continue using `overflow: hidden` or clearfix hacks just to have a `block ruby` with a BFC. And when a `block ruby` is forced to establish a BFC, this can't be explained in terms of `display` at used-value time.
