Whatever terminology you use, saying *something* about the issue would be better than saying nothing and forcing everyone to infer what you're talking about. ^_^ I think your issue is that if, between the time a smooth scrolling operation is trigger and it completes, the position of the element being smooth-scrolled to changes, browsers currently don't take that into account, and still scroll to the original position. The final scroll position is thus confusing, because the element you were trying to scroll to isn't in the expected place (and if it moved up, may be totally off-screen).
