Looks like this was discussed at https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2016Sep/0041.html It was resolved as "RESOLVED: Don't have the computed value dependency", pending any objections. I think I'm on-board with that, but @fantasai, could you clarify what that means? Is the plan for `auto` to just *always* compute to itself now?
