gregwhitworth has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [css-tables] Table fixup and replaced elements == Github Issue: **Compat Issues:** Yes **Description:** CSS 2.1 says that replaced elements can use and should behave as their table-* display type. No browser implements this, but the fallback behaviors diverge slightly (even per input type inside the same browser) NOTE: this has an impact on table-fixup. **Proposed Option:** Replaced elements cannot be a table-* display type. Block or Inline is used as fallback as specified in the spec. **CSS 2.1 Option:** CSS 2.1 says that replaced elements can use and should behave as their table-* display type. **Testcases:** https://github.com/w3c/csswg-test/blob/css-tables/work-in-progress/microsoft/css-tables/table-model-fixup-2.html **Browsers Passing Test:** Every browser has issues, whichever the choice we make. An attempt was made to make sense when possible. Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/470 using your GitHub account
