Does anybody have a good source on the origin and reasoning behind using the word 'justify' in typography and typesetting? I'm rather new to all this (web design and typography) and that is one of the terms I still don't 'get' in this context. In my head, instead of 'justify-content' the phrase 'horizontal-align' makes more sense. Then 'align-content' could be 'vertical-align', and then the shorthand for both could simply be 'align'. Again, apologies for any ignorance on my part, as I am still 'struggling' with the logic of the 'justify' term, among others, in the context of typography. -- GitHub Notification of comment by rchrdnsh Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/595#issuecomment-261737514 using your GitHub account
