Re: Data With DIDs (DWD) [was: What if: Data had DIDs (and a DID Document)?]

To simplify the model (and the discussion), assume the value of a DWD DID Document service endpoint is an Agent DID ...in effect, DWD introduces one level of DID indirection.

Given an identifier/key for a piece of data (e.g. purchase order/waybill number) or the data itself, how do you find the service endpoint URL for the authoritative agent/controller? ...what about when the agent moves or changes?

Michael, I understand the computation-to-data inversion, but I’m still
unclear what specifically requires a DID/DID Document per data object.
If the service endpoint ultimately identifies the authoritative agent
controlling the data, what property would be lost by giving that
controller the DID and addressing individual data through subordinate
resource identifiers? I’m trying to understand the DWD
granularity/scaling model, particularly in light of your
selective-disclosure point.

The service endpoint for a piece of data is the service endpoint of the agent that has authoritative control (sovereign control) over the data ...the original data. That is, the agent with the authority to determine if the actions can/should be performed (and then decide to act on the DWD).

In addition, one option for specifying the DIDComm Message payload (the pipeline of serial and parallel actions to be performed) is Consort Structured English for AI: https://github.com/mwherman2000/Consort/blob/main/Consort%20Structured%20English%20for%20AI%20Super%20Prompt.txt. It’s all coming together. 😊
