Subject: Introducing our new W3C CCG Co-Chair

________________________________
Hello all,

I am delighted to announce that Denken Chen will be joining Mahmoud and myself as a Co-Chair of the Credentials Community Group in January.

Denken is currently affiliated with the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Taiwan and is an active contributor to the standards efforts at the W3C and the broader decentralized identity space.

He is also, I believe, our first chair from the Asia Pacific region. This is an exciting opportunity to deepen our connections with the people and communities building decentralized identity solutions throughout this region.

I look forward to working with you in the new year Denken!

Finally, let me express my gratitude to Harrison Tang, our outgoing chair. Harrison has done an excellent job over the past three years, providing a structure and organisation to our weekly calls that has greatly reduced the administrative burden of being a chair. It is thanks to Harrison that we have a regular schedule of engaging speakers lined up months in advance.

Harrison, you will be missed. Don't be a stranger :)

Our first call back in the new year will be on the Tuesday 13th of January. This will be an opportunity to hear from Denken and chat with other CCG community members.

Happy holidays everyone!
Will
