One flaw for me, in trying to follow that reasoning: I'm outside the industry, and following the acronyms was challenging. In hard science (where I have published in the past), it was customary to use full form in first insertion in order to define the acronym for the reader, and I'd be happier if that could happen on this list also.

For me personally, from your post, I'd really like to know what BST and RST stand for. I tried looking them up but there are 80 different possibilities at the first site I went to, so I gave up.

And there are several others in the post that I imputed a 'probable' or 'possible' meaning to, just to be able to keep reading. I may have been wrong in some of those, and so my certainty about your reasoning steps is accordingly shaky when it was based on such acronyms.

P.S./Aside: In recent years such unattributed acronym use has been happening more often on the CCG [Credential Community Group] list I believe, and might be contributing to the difficulty, noted by others elsewhere, in spreading the important work done here past the core experts.
