Re: [MINUTES] CCG Incubation and Promotion 2025-04-02

Hi Everybody

Here is an update of the ETSI work on trusted lists. Isaac and myself
had a meeting with the ETSI team this morning and we were told that they
expect to deliver their final draft by the end of June, and that a
public version should be available by September or October at the
latest. They strongly supported the idea of W3C creating a profile from
their data model. They are also reviewing our existing draft which
contains a data model, to see if it can be harmonised with their
existing draft.

They further said that if the WC VCWG adopts the CCG Verifiable Issuers
and Verifiers draft as a work item, then a liaison between the VCWG and
ETSI WG can be created which will give us an earlier view of their work.

We have also made contact with Dmitri and hope to speak to him next week
about his work with DCC on issuer registries.

Finally, we were told that the Japanese have requested ISO to work on an
international standard for the harmonisation of trust services based on
the existing ETSI XML Trusted Lists specification, since this is already
in wide use internationally. ETSI will be working with ISO to ensure
harmonisation between their new draft and the ISO work.

Kind regards

David
