Hi all, For more than a year, IDATAFY (SmartResume), Level Data, and Digital Bazaar have been working with the first responder community, through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, on Verifiable Credentials for First Responders. During large scale incidents that involve first responders, such as wildfires, earthquakes, and hurricanes, it is critical for incident commanders (the people coordinating the hundreds to thousands of responders) to understand the collection of people that are in the incident area, as well as their skills and training, in order to deploy the right people, to the right places, at the right time. We have created a vocabulary specification that is useful for describing First Responders using Verifiable Credentials in a way that is compatible with NIEMOpen, a community-driven, common vocabulary that enables efficient information exchange across diverse public and private organizations. Verifiable credentials being issued using this technology can be utilized by incident commanders to quickly and accurately determine the capabilities of their responders as well as vet, in real time, the veracity of their qualifications. You can see the draft vocabulary here, which we'll be developing further, piloting, and then planning on submitting to this community for adoption: https://w3id.org/first-responder/ -- manu -- Manu Sporny - https://www.linkedin.com/in/manusporny/ Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. https://www.digitalbazaar.com/
