Hi all, Ivan Herman, W3C Staff for the Verifiable Credentials Working Group, has done a great job of putting together a draft of an overview of the Verifiable Credentials specifications: https://w3c.github.io/vc-overview The community has needed an entry point into the ever expanding set of specifications that are associated with Verifiable Credentials for some time now, and thankfully, we now have that document. It is a rough draft, needs some work, but that's where each of you come in. Our hope is that this document is the first one you recommend to technologists (CTOs, developers, IT Managers) that want to learn more about Verifiable Credentials. Please read through it and see if you would be comfortable sending it to a technologist that want a quick overview. If there are parts of it that you'd like changed, preferably by REMOVING content (we're trying to keep it short), please raise an issue on the Github repository on what you'd like changed and why: https://github.com/w3c/vc-overview/issues We know that similar documentation is needed for the general public, and we hope people roll up their sleeves and write that stuff, but our focus right now is ensuring that more technologists are able to read about the details such that they can convey the benefits to the general public. We hope this document will help each of you trying to introduce more technologists to Verifiable Credentials. There is room for improvement, please help us improve the document above. -- manu -- Manu Sporny - https://www.linkedin.com/in/manusporny/ Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. https://www.digitalbazaar.com/
