Event: The Digital Economist Annual Roundtable Series (Dec. 12-13, 2024)

One and off over the last 5 or so years, I've been advocating for organizations like W3C, CCG, DIF, ToIP, the DID related WGs, etc. to develop a higher, more specific sense of purpose - to have what come to be known as a North Star (https://github.com/decentralized-identity/did-methods/issues/13#issuecomment-2510269035).

With this purpose in mind, the Web 7.0 Foundation has become involved in organizations like the Wellbeing Economy and the Digital Economist. In January, for example, I'm attending the World Economic Forum in Davos as a DE delegate to discuss the future of decentralized systems and decentralized systems architecture.

Similarly, next Thursday Friday, I'm part of 2-day roundtable to discuss: "2024—a year marked by the
growing tensions of a world in flux. Geopolitical
conflicts, climate upheavals, and the rapid
evolution of technology have exposed systemic fractures in governance, equity, and collaboration."
