[ANNOUNCEMENT] CCG Co-Chair Election 2022

This message is the formal announcement of the 2022 CCG Co-Chair election on June 28, 2022, which under our charter kicks off a two-week nomination process, from today, May 31 - June 14, 2022. Heather Vescent is completing her term and vacating her seat. The open seat is a three year term. Nominations

Anyone who wishes to hold a chair position must self-nominate by sending an email to the mailing list (Credentials Community Group <public-credentials@w3.org<mailto:public-credentials@w3.org>>) with the following information:


  1.  Your name and affiliation (if any)
  2.  A brief statement of background and why you would like to be chair


Nomination statements MUST be sent to the list by 11:59pm Pacific Time Zone on June 14, 2022

Nominations and voting are open to all current CCG members as of the election announcement as of today, May 31, 2022.


On the June 28 CCG call, we will host an opportunity for the candidates to offer a brief statement, and for CCG members to ask questions of the candidates. This is not required, but will be the formal opportunity for a discussion with potential future chairs.

Voting Details

Per the 2021 charter amendment, voting will be conducted as ranked choice. Anyone who is a member of the CCG by the election announcement, today, May 31, 2022 is eligible to vote. The election will be overseen by current co-chairs Heather Vescent, Mike Prorock & Kimberly Wilson Linson.

  *   Election Announcement: 5/31/2022
     *   Must be an official member of CCG to vote in the election by 5/31/2022
     *   Must be an official member of the CCG to self-nominate by 5/31/2022
  *   Nomination period: 5/31/2022-6/14/2022 EOD PT
  *   Candidate speak at CCG meeting: 6/28/2022
  *   Voting Opens: 6/28/2022
