Just wanted to add nuance by mentioning some privacy-focused blockchains that claim to support private NFTs: https://scrt.network/about/secret-nfts https://www.aleo.org/ Not to mention ZKP roll-ups that can add confidentiality and also restrict data availability in ways compatible with data regulatory frameworks. I think it’s more nuanced than just NFTs vs. VCs. A fairer comparison might be ERC-712 NFT on mainnet Ethereum vs. JWT-VC hosted on Amazon’s servers behind OIDC authentication using HTTPS-hosted revocation lists.
