[ANNOUNCE] CCG Co-Chair Election: Feb 8, 2021 & Self Nomination Period is now OPEN

Greetings CCG Membership,


This message is the formal announcement of the 2022 CCG Co-Chair election
on Feb 8, 2022, which under our charter kicks off a two-week nomination
process, from today, Jan 11 through Jan 25. The election is to fill Wayne
Chang’s vacancy and will complete that 3 year term from June 2020 to June
2023. You will serve from Feb 2022 to June 2023.

Nominations

Anyone who wishes to hold a chair position must self-nominate by sending an
email to the mailing list (Credentials Community Group <
public-credentials@w3.org>) with the following information:



   1.

   Your name and affiliation (if any)
   2.

   A brief statement of background and why you would like to be chair


Nomination statements MUST be sent to the list by *11:59pm Pacific Time
Zone on Jan 25, 2022*:

Nominations and voting are open to all current CCG members as of the
election announcement as of today, Jan 11, 2022.


On the Feb 8, CCG call, we will host an opportunity for the candidates to
offer a brief statement, and for CCG members to ask questions of the
candidates. This is not required, but will be the formal opportunity for a
discussion with potential future chairs.

Voting Details

Per the 2021 charter amendment, voting will be conducted as ranked choice.
Anyone who is a member of the CCG by January 11, 2022 is eligible to vote.
The election will be overseen by existing co-chairs Heather Vescent & Mike
Prorock. We will use OpaVote <https://www.opavote.com/> which uses ranked
choice voting and has been used in several CCG polls in the past year.
