Early August chapi.io upgrades

Hi all,

In support of the JFF Plugfest #2 announcement, we're announcing two
new upgrades to the chapi.io site this week. Last time, we announced
the credential selector and the addition of a permanent resident card
to the chapi.io playground. This week we're announcing the addition of
expanded documentation on integrating CHAPI for wallet providers,
issuers, and verifiers as well as live issuance of Verifiable
Credentials.

Live Issuance of Verifiable Credentials
---------------------------------------------------

The CHAPI playground now enables you to add a data integrity proof to
any of the example Verifiable Credentials listed in the playground (or
added by you in the URL field). To do this, click the "gear" icon in
the top right and select an issuer infrastructure. At present, there
is only one (the open source vc.js library running in the browser).
However, our next release will start integrating any other issuer
infrastructure that supports the VC Issuer API. We are already working
with a number of VC Issuer API infrastructures that will be integrated
soon, so if you have such an infrastructure and want to be included,
please let us know. You can try out the new feature (image attached)
here:

It is expected that we might be able to mix and match issuers and
wallets in the JFF Plugfest #2 with this infrastructure enabling a
broader set of testing outcomes than if every organization has to
integrate in a point-to-point fashion.

Documentation for Issuers, Wallets, and Verifiers
-----------------------------------------------------------------

In order to enable Verifiable Credential issuers and digital wallet
providers (both web and native) to integrate with each other during
JFF Plugfest #2, we have added step-by-step documentation for
integrating CHAPI with your Issuer infrastructure or digital wallet
software on the main CHAPI page. You can access the documentation
halfway down the landing page. Look for the buttons under "How do I
integrate CHAPI into my website or application?" (image attached):

https://chapi.io/

We hope these two additions (and the ones to come) will help the JFF
Plugfest #2 participants demonstrate broad ecosystem interoperability.
If there are any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free
to share them on the mailing list.
