Hi all,

As many of you know, one of the work items in the CCG is the Verifiable
Credentials API[1], which is an API for issuing, verifying, and presenting
Verifiable Credentials.

In addition, Digital Bazaar has been busy implementing a set of
interoperability test suites not just for VCs, but DIDs, and Data Integrity
(was LD Signatures/Proofs) as well. These test suites are powered by the VC
API and DID Resolution API.

We're announcing the first of a series of these cross-industry tests suites
being ready for /experimental/ integration today. These test suites are meant
to support work being done at IMS Global, the VC-EDU work stream, the DHS SVIP
program, and various other (not yet publicly announced) programs in retail,
citizen identity, and banking.

The VC API test suite for basic issuer interop is here:

The VC API test suite for basic verifier interop is here:

The Data Integrity test suite for Ed25519Signature2020 interop is here:

One thing you might notice is that many implementations are currently
disabled. We are doing this so that implementers can opt-in to the test suite.
We are in the process of contacting implementers now to get their permission
to have them opt in. If you want to opt-in to the test suites, you can do so
by adding your implementation to the list in this repo:

https://github.com/w3c-ccg/vc-api-test-suite-implementations

We support two types of authorization on the VC API endpoints at present:
OAuth2 and ZCAPs. We also support endpoints that have no authorization, but we
strongly advise implementers against unprotected endpoints.

The test suites run, at a minimum, once per week so that we can all have the
most up to date information on multi-vendor interoperability.

We'll have further announcements around DID method interoperability test
suites, as well as multi-vendor interoperability success stories, as the weeks
and months progress.
