[AGENDA] W3C Credentials CG Call Tue, October 6, 12 noon EDT, 9 AM PDT: DECO

TL;DR: Fan Zhang, DECO: Liberating Web Data Using Decentralized Oracles for TLS

NEXT MEETING:

In this upcoming meeting, Fan Zhang will describe his work on DECO, a technique which "allows users to prove that a piece of data accessed via TLS came from a particular website and optionally prove statements about such data in zero-knowledge, keeping the data itself secret." This is meaningful to the ecosystem because it could potentially allow anyone to prove the results of visiting their TLS-protected bank account balance or college transcript while maintaining privacy.
