[NOMINATIONS] Nominations Open for W3C CCG Co-Chairs

*CCG ELECTIONS:* Last Tuesday, May 12, at our regular weekly W3C
Credentials CG call, the current co-chairs announced an election date of
June 9 for new chairs, which under our new charter kicks off a two-week
nomination process, from May 12 through May 25. Details on the election
process can be found in the new charter:

    https://www.w3.org/community/credentials/charter/

For this first election under the new charter, all three co-chair seats are
up for election.

   - Seat A has one year left, the winning candidate will serve from
2020-2021 (current nominees: Kim Hamilton Duffy)
   - Seat B has two years left, the winning candidate will serve from
   2020-2022 (current nominees: Joe Andrieu)
   - Seat C has three years left, the winning candidate will serve from
2020-2023 (current nominees: none, Christopher Allen taking a sabbatical)

Assuming no surprise vacancies, in the future there will be an annual
election for just one seat at a time so that every year we have a modest
transition, with good continuity of practice and culture.

*NOMINATIONS:* Anyone who wishes to hold a chair position must
self-nominate by sending an email to the mailing list (Credentials
Community Group <public-credentials@w3.org>) with the following information:

   - Your name and affiliation (if any)
   - The seat you would like to run for (A, B, or C)
   - A brief statement of background and why you would like to be chair

Nomination statements MUST be sent to the list by 11:59pm EDT on May 25

https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20200526T035900&p1=tz_cest&p2=tz_edt&p3=tz_pt
Late statements will not be considered.

Nominations and voting are open to all current CCG members as of the
election announcement on Tuesday, May 12.

On the May 26th CCG call, we will host an opportunity for the candidates to
offer a brief statement, and for CCG members to ask questions of the
candidates. This is not required but will be the formal opportunity for a
discussion with potential future chairs.

Details of the voting mechanism and process will be announced by the chairs
by June 2nd and will be based on providing a fair outcome given the number
of candidates and seats contested.

*CO-CHAIR DUTIES:* Chairs are responsible for facilitating the conversation
within the community. Historically, the three chairs have split the
responsibility of running the meetings and meet weekly to discuss topics
and handle leadership business. Duties:

   - Facilitate work items to advance from initial proposal through to
