Hi all, In last week's Credentials CG call, we discussed launching an informal task force to focus on Educational and Occupational Credentials. I wanted to follow up with a summary of that proposal. We have specific goals and use cases outlined in our repo -- https://github.com/w3c-ccg/edu_occ_verifiable_credentials. While the first goal -- "Unify Open Badges and Verifiable Credentials schema" -- is well understood and ready to be taken on as a work item, other goals require more investigation. The task force will therefore investigate and prioritize these into specific work items. Our near term plan is to meet once a week outside of the CCG meeting (similar to the DID calls) in order to better structure our work. We would eventually like to have regular CCG time, similar to Crypto Tuesdays, but the specific cadence doesn't have to be decided now. The steerers of this task force are myself, Kerri Lemoie, and Nate Otto. Please let us know by February 13 if you have any objections to this proposal.
