Hey Dan, We never got a chance to respond to your question regarding when the DID spec will be ready to roll out into production. My hope is that this set of changes is the last major change to the spec. I imagine we'll have things nailed down (more or less) after the next RWoT. Then, it'll be a matter of how quickly we can get to at least two interoperable implementations and a test suite. I know Sovrin is rolling their ledger out now. The Veres One ledger will be updated to the new spec in the next couple of months as well: https://veres.one/ As you know, we've been in production for a number of years with authorization.io. Once those two ledgers are out, with the hopes that uPort and BTCR join in implementations, I don't expect much to change after that. So, targeting pilot deployments for the end of this year and production deployments early to mid next year seems reasonable to me. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Rebalancing How the Web is Built http://manu.sporny.org/2016/rebalancing/
