Verifiable Claims Face-to-Face at IIW 23 - Mountain View, CA - Oct. 27th and 28th 2016

Hi all,

With deep thanks to Phil Windley, Kaliya Hamlin, Doc Searls and the
Internet Identity Workshop (IIW) community, we're pleased to announce
the first face-to-face meeting for the Verifiable Claims work. We will
be co-located with IIW #23, which should allow for some pretty great
cross-pollination between various standardization groups working in this
space.

The meeting will be held October 27th and 28th at the Computer History
Museum in Mountain View, CA. The first day will be open to the public
and will be used to bring everyone up to speed with where the work is
currently. The second day may be closed to W3C members IF a W3C Working
Group is officially formed by that time, and will dive into the
technical details of what we are attempting to achieve. If there is no
official Working Group at W3C for Verifiable Claims by the time IIW
comes around, the second day will be open to the public as well.

If you plan to attend, I urge you to join us for the entirety of the
Internet Identity Workshop as well as the Verifiable Claims meeting
(Tue-Fri). You can get tickets here (there are "independent" and
"student" rates available):

If you only plan to join us for the Verifiable Claims meeting, use the
one day option here (Thu-Fri):

If you are interested in sponsoring meals, or a part of the Verifiable
Claims meeting, please get in touch with me (and I'll put you in touch
with the appropriate person at IIW).
