I'm writing to comment on the WCAG 2.2 working draft, specifically on Guideline 2.5.7 Dragging Movements (AA). The Editor's Note asks if there are assistive technologies that help for people with mobility impairments. As an AT specialist, I would offer this: There are assistive technologies that may assist users in dragging operations, such as: specialized mouse devices with a latching click button; accessibility features integrated into the operating system such as Windows Mouse Keys; or assistive technology software for users of alternate input methods such as eye-gaze or scanning, which may be integrated into the operating system or available as a 3rd party product. However, performing dragging movements with use of assistive technologies is often a cumbersome and complicated operation. This can also pose a barrier for users with cognitive impairments. For these reasons, dragging movements should be avoided unless essential. Thanks for your consideration, Yuichi Tamano
