Applicability of techniques that aren’t specific to PDF may be missed by authors just
interested in PDF techniques and only reading the page “PDF Techniques for WCAG

Proposed Change:
Include a statement in the Technology Notes that the general techniques from WCAG
2.0 must also be followed in preparing PDF files, for example, techniques for sufficient
contrast and providing abbreviations.

Such a statement about general techniques could possibly be placed in the paragraph
preceding the H1 before the Table of Contents where there is a link to ‘other
technologies’, though repeating it within the Technology Notes with examples is also
