Name: Roger Hudson Email: rhudson@usability.com.au Affiliation: Document: W2 Item Number: Help users avoid mistakes and make it easy to correct mistakes that do occur Part of Item: Comment Type: TE Comment (Including rationale for any proposed change): Guideline 2.5 states, \"Help users avoid mistakes and make it easy to correct mistakes that do occur.\" The Level 1 and Level 2 Success Criteria for this Guideline all appear to be concerned helping people recover from mistakes. The only SC that relates to avoiding mistakes in the first place is a Level 3 criterion. Proposed Change: I suggest the Working Group consider including more information on how mistakes can be avoided. At the least, Success Criteria 2.5.4 should be a Level 2 criterion.
