Please provide links using rel attributes between pages of the document -  
as per WCAG 1.0 checkpoints:

13.2 Provide metadata to add semantic information to pages and sites.     
       
13.3 Provide information about the general layout of a site (e.g., a site  
map or table of contents).

For greatest compatibility this should be done with link elements rather  
than just rel attributes on links.
