I added it as a pull request comment but I am also adding it here (BTW i also did that for the ommision on issue 32 which aslo had an issue)

A standardized technique or design pattern is either: 
-A standard recommended in a wcag technique (techniques can be submitted by any other standard and just approved by wcag) or 
-by the user platform (for native content and apps).
