Dear Jim Abi and I have just been discussing this and it be telepathy!! Have you looked at this site for a load of references - not the latest! However, you are right there is so little that we can draw on that is available even in the research world! http://ncdae.org/resources/articles/cognitive/ Accessible Website Content Guidelines for Users with Intellectual Disabilities http://doc.utwente.nl/72213/1/Karreman07accessible.pdf I have also been reading the European guidelines on Easy to Read as well http://easy-to-read.eu/european-standards/ Optimising web site designs for people with learning disabilities http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1471-3802.12034/full Peter Williams has written many papers on the subject. https://www.ucl.ac.uk/dis/people/peterwilliams/publications https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Peter_Williams9 Hope this helps... I was hoping to ask if you had any idea about peer reviewed publications on the clarity an active rather than a passive voice and on the importance of front-loading important information in sentences and instructions for people with COGA issues. All of the information I have is from working group reports and anecdotal evidence based on working with people. Given the nature of the discussion I suspect that having peer-reviewed research on hand might be required. I understand that you are very busy but I am hoping you might have something to hand.
