I suggested on today's Cognitive Accessibility Task Force Teleconference call that the there is one very one specific recommendation that we could make - that would be most likely to gain some traction without slowing the timeline for the Section 508 refresh Final Rule. The suggestion is to add one new component to APPENDIX C TO PART 1194 - FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS CHAPTER 3: FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE CRITERIA. That suggestion is to Add: * "302.9 With Cognitive Language and Learning Disabilities. Where a mode of operation is provided, ICT shall provide at least one mode of operation that is operable by persons with Cognitive, Language and Learning Disabilities." It was clarified that we would need to send this request to Judy Brewer, as it would be up to her to decide if this is warranted.
