Re: uses for generative AI

The Intention Economy is nothing new, most social media are based on
guiding consumers to make decisions that favor purchases.
In the sixties and early seventies of the twentieth century we had
subliminal seduction in TV commercials.
But with the advent of AI it becomes possible to create an entire ecosystem
of algorithms that guides consumers of entertainment, data and information
towards "purchase pastures" to graze.

The European Union with its GDPR, Digital Services Act, EU AI Act and
several new acts planned tries to protect consumers and citizens from
coercive or manipulative actions, but the Intention Economy goes beyond
mere consumerism.

The use of AI in creative and cultural industries, education, healthcare,
eGovernment, scientific research, and many other fields introduces issues
that touch upon freedom of choice and speech, policy choices and also
widening the digital divide.

split our cognitive world.

This is where the intention economy may ultimately lead us to.
