Hi Paola, This coming Monday’s call will introduce chunks and rules in a practical way, as a precursor to a subsequent meeting on reviewing the formal spec as a proposed CG Report. In respect to knowledge representation, I can envisage a meeting that reviews the relationship between chunks, frames, property graphs and RDF triples. We could also take a look at different kinds of rule languages and their implications. From a philosophical perspective we could look at relativism and non-reductionist approaches to semantics, and the contrast with formal semantics and deductive logic. We could indeed take a look at approaches that simulate pulsed neural networks, both in software, e.g. Chris Eliasmith’s work at the University of Waterloo, and Intel’s neuromorphic chips and associated research such as the link you cited. Better still would be to have recordings or brief summaries so that I can listen when I can. Rather than having a call today at very short notice, I propose we hold the next call in a week’s time on Monday 5th October. Agenda suggestions are welcomed - please reply to this email with your ideas. > > It would presumably make sense to plan calls around particular topics, with a mix of technical and non-technical topics so that everyone can find something of interest to discuss. I was thinking that after the general introduction in the last call, it would make sense to take a look at the chunks data and rules language, some introductory demos and the web sandbox for you to experiment for yourselves. > > [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/internal-cogai/2020Sep/0000.html <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/internal-cogai/2020Sep/0000.html> > > Dave Raggett <dsr@w3.org <mailto:dsr@w3.org>> http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett <http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett> > W3C Data Activity Lead & W3C champion for the Web of things > > > > Dave Raggett <dsr@w3.org> http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett W3C Data Activity Lead & W3C champion for the Web of things
