A feature from apps stores that users and developers alike are relying on is the ability to read and write reviews on apps users install. Clearly the Web has a very strong history in letting users rate and review stuff, and search engines are increasingly able to serve as super-aggregator of that data (through e.g. Schema.org vocabularies, or GoodRelations). It's not clear to me that much is missing here in terms of underlying infrastructure; in other words, it feels to me that once there is a strong demand for Web apps, there will be greater incentive for sites to serve as review boards for Web apps, and for search engines to find and expose that data. It might be worth looking at whether existing searchable vocabularies in this space address sufficiently well (Web) apps. Any volunteer? Any other perspective on whether this space needs more attention? Dom
