Civic Technology Community Group, Hello. On Monday, December 9th, at 1pm EST, the Intentional Public Participation and Community Engagement (PPCE) in AI Design and Implementation will be held virtually and will explore ways in which federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments are thinking through building PPCE into AI design and implementation. This event will "feature a panel of representatives from federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments. Panelists will share their experiences integrating PPCE principles into AI design and implementation, discuss opportunities and challenges in this evolving field, and share key lessons learned." If you would like to attend this event, you can register here: https://gsa.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_1GukZvwsSDC4-eqfZqn_Fw#/registration . After this event, a video recording should be available here: https://www.gsa.gov/governmentwide-initiatives/us-open-government/public-engagement . Best regards, Adam Sobieski P.S.: With both PPCE and AI on the meeting agenda, hopefully some of the following topics will be raised: https://theconversation.com/ai-could-shore-up-democracy-heres-one-way-207278 . That is, how can AI systems enable and enhance new PPCE frameworks and toolkits<https://www.opengovpartnership.org/the-open-gov-challenge/united-states-framework-for-public-participation-and-community-engagement/>?
