Civic Technology Community Group, Hello. On these "future of news" civic technology topics, I just read that there is an ongoing email-based newsletter trend (e.g., Substack) and I thought of some Web-standards-related ideas which I would like to share with the group. Perhaps resembling iCalendar [1] events in emails, what if news stories could be detected in email-based newsletters, e.g., via file attachments, RSS content, or news Web schema [2]? Detected news stories could then be loaded into users' news-aggregation and document-generation apps. That is, users subscribing to multiple email-based newsletters could download apps which collate news stories and generate daily personalized digital newspapers. Before brainstorming on technical implementation topics, any thoughts on these ideas? Best regards, Adam [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICalendar [2] https://schema.org/docs/news.html
