Hi, The HTTP header fields have been added to the provisional registry: http://www.iana.org/assignments/message-headers/prov-headers.html Below is a comment from the reviewer (Graham Klyne) that recommends modifications of the spec before we transition from provisional to permanent registry: ----- Specifically, there is nothing in the document that obviously normatively specifies these new headers. At the very least, I think section 4.1.5.5 should enumerate the new headers that are being introduced for this purpose - as written, an implementer might conceivably feel free to add additional headers that have not been registered. What I would like to see is a table that explicitly lists the original header fields and the new headers that are used to pass the values forward. It would also be helpful, I think, if the specification had a section visible in the table of contents indicating the new header fields introduced. (When I'm reviewing these document, or when looking for a specification for implementation, I frequently (a) scan the table of contents for relevant sections, and (b) text search the specification document for the specific protocol element to avoid reading the whole thing. The present document does not support either of these approaches.) ----- Thanks, Francois.
