Hi David -- Just wanted to say a belated "thank you" for these comments on our public draft. We discussed your comments in detail at our recently held face to face meeting and made some changes to the document accordingly. Some items that stood out: Removing the word "players." Clarifying our use of the word "server." Clarifying the relationship of this document to specific DI documents. Clarifying the explanation of the organization of the doc. Re-titling section 3.4 (Content Type) to user goals (2.4 in the new document structure). Regarding use of access keys, there was strong believe and consensus within the group that their use enhanced usability in specific circumstances. We have therefore sought to clarify these circumstances. Regarding background images, the group felt that given the bandwidth issues inherent on mobile phones, there was good enough reason to recommend not to use them unless the author was sure that the device supports them. Your comments were also helpful to our discussion of the so-called "base-line device" (now renamed "default rendering context"). I think you will find these issues adaquately addressed in our next public working draft, to be issued shortly. Regards, Daniel Appelquist MWBP Chair
