In fairness to Paul, he didn't actually agree to it - he wasn't in the room at the time. We just gave him the action item, partly tongue in cheek. As I understand it though, we do need to have some sort of reference framework in which tests can be carried out, and maybe some functionality to pretend to be something else (like a more feature-rich client). I would suggest that a Web interface would be the most useful. So really it needs _someone_ to take ownership of this and to develop it, preferably as we go along (this might help us to define some of the more woollyy tests?). We suggested Paul as he has some development capability within Segala and is in a better position to direct resources there than others might be. Yes, of course, Deutsche Telekom has more resources - but it also has many more hoops to jump through and it's probably impractical for them to take this on.
