Thanks for your input. We will consider revising the text in the light of your comments. Ref your point on navigation - we very much agree with this hence the Best Practice on Navigation [1]. Regds Jo [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/mobile-bp/#NAVIGATION _____ From: public-bpwg-comments-request@w3.org [mailto:public-bpwg-comments-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Owen ONeill Sent: 30 August 2006 00:59 To: public-bpwg-comments@w3.org Subject: Two specific comments Hi, I have a couple of specific comments: 2.1 Presentation Issues "It is particularly important in the mobile context to help the user create a mental image of the site. This can be assisted by adopting a consistent style and can be considerably diminished by an uneven style." Consistent style isn't the only way to achieve this - what about other aspects such as logical navigation? 2.5 Advertising "...For example, some mechanisms that are commonly used for presentation of advertising material do not work well on small devices and are therefore contrary to the Best Practice recommendations." This sentence specifies "some mechanisms". Are these mechanisms listed anywhere (not necessarily in the document)? Cheers, Owen ONeill
