Dear BPMLOD community members, After a long pause for the summer break, it is time to resume our regular telcos. The next one will take place this Thursday 9th October at 10:00 CEST (usual time and day). Other time zones: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=BPMLOD+conf+call&iso=20141009T08&ah=1 Despite the absence of telcos, the work has continued off-line in the group, specially in the elaboration of guidelines for LD generation of language resources [1]. Now it is time to collect feedback from the community and discuss/validate such guidelines. I would kindly ask the participants for taking a look at them and annotate comments to be provided either during the telco or afterwards. Another interesting topic for the next telco is the fact that we have been requested by people from the Data on the Web Best Practices Working Group [2] to produce some "stable" set best practises on multilingual LOD. They plan to use them as input to complement their own set of recommended best practises. One thing we can do is to re-visit the set of patterns we have already analysed so far and identify the ones in which the consensus was high, and create a list of best practises based on it. The list will be possibly short at the beginning, but it will grow with time. I'll try to create a space in the wiki for this before the telco. You can find the connection details and the agenda at https://www.w3.org/community/bpmlod/wiki/Teleconference,_9/10/2014 Best regards, BPMLOD chairs [1] https://www.w3.org/community/bpmlod/wiki/Guidelines_for_LD_generation_of_Language_resources_-_previous_notes [2] http://www.w3.org/2013/dwbp/wiki/Main_Page -- Jorge Gracia, PhD Ontology Engineering Group Artificial Intelligence Department Universidad Politécnica de Madrid http://delicias.dia.fi.upm.es/~jgracia/
