Dear All,
*We are very pleased to be able to announce the shortlist for the
LinkedUp Vidi Competition <http://linkedup-challenge.org> - the second
in our series of three competitions in the LinkedUp Challenge!*
We asked for tools and demos that analyse or integrate open web data for
educational purposes. We received fourteen submissions with innovative
ideas in areas such as agriculture, arts and medicine. It was not an
easy task but we have selected nine submissions for the shortlist

These are:

* AGRIS – exploiting bibliographic records to create rich Linked Open
Data page
* DBLPXplorer: Interactive Graphical Interfaces for the Computer
Science Bibliography
* Konnektid - Social Learning Anytime, Anywhere
* LODStories: Learning About Art by Building Multimedia Stories
* Rhizi.net
* Solvonauts : an open educational search engine
* TuvaLabs - Data Literacy Skills for a Brighter Future
Focused Track: Simplificator
* The electronic Discharge Letter (eDL) mobile app
* Visualization of Labour Conflicts in the Netherlands for last 700 years

All nine tools will be presented during the LinkedUp Vidi Competition
Presentations and Awards

Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2014) to be held in in Anissaras, Crete,
Greece (25th – 29th May).
