BOOST Working Group - Follow-up & Scheduling

All,

Thanks for joining the kickoff meeting for the BOOST Working Group. I'm
inspired to have such a diverse group of participants! My apologies for
having taken some time to follow up.

Here are notes

A few items:
1. @Rina Singh <rina@altfuelchem.org> has kindly sent links to the EPA
webpage link with the USDA Forest Service report on forest residuals policy
relevant to the RFS.

As promised, please find below the information regarding the report done by
> Strategic Biofuels, AFCC member company, with federal agencies EPA and US
> Forest Service in the development of the
> *Practical Guide to Forestry Feedstock Under the Renewable Fuel Standard.*Please
> circulate to the attendees in BOOST.
> The Practical Guide provides in-depth information regarding which
> non-marketable forest biomass is eligible for th*e *Renewable Fuel
> Standard (RFS). The guidelines provide what can qualify and how these
> feedstocks should be tracked for eligibility in the RFS.

2. If you're able to share anonymized transaction/reporting data, please
let me know. We'll ensure privacy by fuzzing locations and omitting
volumes/costs.

3. Please fill out this poll
<https://doodle.com/group-poll/participate/epLWLZpe> for our next meeting.
Please propose any agenda items to me directly or using an Issue in GitHub
<https://github.com/carbondirect/BOOST/issues>. Once we set the weekday and
time this one, I will set up a recurring invite for the same day/time we
settle on so we don't have to poll for every meeting. The meetings will
happen every other week through June, then weekly in July).

4. Please do *sign up for the BOOST W3C group
<https://www.w3.org/community/boost-01/>* if you have not already. As we
get into technical details of the development, more detail will be shared
there than with this group.

I will be sending out a general schedule of milestones for the next 2
months this week with the goal of completing a first draft of the standard
by the end of July. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Best,
Peter
